Wrenbridge Sport are the project managers for Brentford FC’s new community stadium.

Brentford FC is planning to move from its existing stadium at Griffin Park to a new purpose built community stadium a short distance away at a site in Lionel Road South, Brentford. The new 17,500 seat stadium is being developed to be fully compliant with FA Premier League requirements and will also be fully comptable for top flight rugby union.

The enabling development to fund the stadium includes a residential led development comprising over 900 apartments surrounding the stadium together with the conversion of the existing ground to family housing. This will create a new hub within Brentford and will regenerate a former industrial site as well as providing improvements to the local train station.

A landmark planning consent was achieved in which it was demonstrated that because of the overall viability of the project and the importance of both the Club and it’s Trust, zero affordable housing was required. Part of this process included demonstrating and committing to over £11m of community benefits within the borough, delivered through the Community Trust.

Construction is now well underway on site and the stadium is due for completion in time for the 2020/21 football season.
